Kathy HirstKathy Hirst has an extensive background as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and facilitator. She was the founder and director of Kathy Hirst School of Dance in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for thirty-three years. During this time Kathy inspired children, teens, and adults to discover their own creative abilities and personal expression of dance through jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre, creative movement, and sacred dance.

Some of Kathy's most notable achievements in choreography include the talent portion for the winner of the 1977 Miss Canada Pageant; the position of Dance Coach for the 1990 World Basketball League's "Saskatchewan Storm Dance Team"; and the 1995 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards "Video Of The Year.” She has also worked as a choreographer for various fashion shows, commercials, charity events, and workshops.

Kathy’s current focus is writing empowerment books for children, as well as developing and facilitating empowerment workshops for teens and adults. It is her sincere desire to inspire others to love themselves, to be proud of who they are, and to be all that they can be. To date she is the author of two children's books, I Believe In Fairies and The Santa That I Know.

It has been an ongoing passion for Kathy to educate herself about various world philosophies, dream symbolism, ancient wisdom, and self-empowerment for personal transformation. She is a certified "Heart Physics Coach" by Dr. James B. Richard of JBR Research in Huntsville, Alabama, and a certified "Kripalu Dance Kinetics Instructor" by the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. It is from this training, as well as from her teaching experience and life lessons, which Kathy draws on for her work as a facilitator
